So... Steele didn't go at all? They just paid for some donor to go? I'm confused.
Also, if the dude is blowing through millions as the article suggests, this seems like a pretty terrible example. He spent two thousand dollars on a guy who raised a few hundred thousand - that's good investing. If the RNC's finances are so bad off and it's Steele's fault, surely there are plenty of cases where he outspent the investment significantly.
Something about this whole thing feels manufactured.
